Everyone attending Hands Heart & Feet community drum and dance is welcome to perform with us at this fantastic local event.

For this performance, Hands Heart & Feet are collaborating with the Cardboard City Sessions, an activist collective based in the Blue Mountains raising awareness about homelessness and housing insecurity in the Blue Mountains.

Hands Heart & Feet's fun, uplifting and interactive performance at this year's Sustainability Festival will be dedicated to raising awareness about secure housing - recognised as a fundamental human rights issue under international law.

For me personally, this issue is close to my heart. Like many friends and family, I have experienced frightening levels of housing insecurity. I am also currently undertaking my social work placement at the Blue Mountains Women's Health and Resource Centre (more info on that HERE) and the vast majority of our work focusses on domestic violence and housing (and the link between the two).

Save the date for now. More info coming soon.
