About the Bodhicitta Foundation:
Ayya Yeshe is an Australian Buddhist nun who spent 12 years in an Indian slum. Her grass roots charity works with some of the most vulnerable communities to break cycles of poverty and oppression.
Ayya Yeshe and the Bodhicitta Foundation focus predominantly on women and children (as they are most statistically impacted by poverty and discrimination) by empowering programs such as provision of safe accomodation, job training, protecting children from child marriage and human trafficking, supporting over 2000 people per year across 4 slum areas.
This is an incredible achievement for a grass-roots charity and can only continue with the support of donations. Anything you can contribute is received with so much gratitude and appreciation
