On a personal note

Why I did this interview:

I wanted to share this story, with the hope that it might encourage others to find creative, cooperative alternatives, if more traditional pathways to property ownership are not available.

I feel really proud that Kate and I found such a collaborative, feminist solution.

I have worked in community arts for over 16 years now. I love my work and feel passionate about what I do.

Making a living as an artist is not without its challenges. For me, purchasing property as a self-employed dancer and musician was next to impossible.

This article is about how some thinking outside the box allowed us to find a creative solution.

This article was written by the lovely Kate Reid (a different Kate to the Kate in the article), who also happens to attend Hands Heart & Feet classes. So she is clearly awesome in multiple ways.
